Our Story
ABOUT BREDEWEG ACRES
We’ve been growing holiday memories here on Rockey Weed Road since 1988, when Roger Bredeweg—once a lab-coat-wearing physicist—traded formulas for farm rows and let his weekend tree-planting hobby blossom into the seven-acre patch of spruces, firs, and pines we now call Bredeweg Acres.
Every tree spends eight to ten years under our watchful eyes before it’s ready for your living-room spotlight, and you can take it home fresh-cut or grab a saw for the full “U-cut” adventure. Either way, we’ll drill, shake, and tie it down for you—and if you’re a regular, you’ll probably get a knowing nod (and a few laughs) from Roger and his wife, Ruth Ann, who keeps the whole operation humming.
Come late November, we turn our barn into a cozy little gift shop, wreath making area and tree processing center.
And when the snow melts, our rows of sweet blueberries take center stage for July and August picking.
From winter evergreens to summer berries, we’re rooted in the simple joy of watching family traditions grow—season after season, year after year.
These days, the next generation—our three grown sons, Mike, Doug, and Steve, along with their families—have joined the farm crew, ensuring Bredeweg Acres will keep spreading holiday cheer and blueberry smiles for generations to come.
